Promptchan vs eHentai.ai: which is better for anime?

I've spent real evenings on both. Same week, two different headspaces. eHentai is what I open when I can't be bothered to think of a prompt and just want to scroll archetypes like a menu. eHentai sits at 7.5/10, which is fine, not special. Its anime prompts come out sharper than Candy.ai's anime mode does, mostly because eHentai was built around anime and hentai from the start instead of bolting it on. Its "5x faster" marketing on paid tiers held up close enough that I won't argue with it. But the visual style wanders between archetypes more than Promptchan's does, and the real ceiling is the wallet: 10 tokens per image, 100 tokens a month included, so casual use caps around 10 images before you're buying top-ups. So if you read Terms before you pay, eHentai. This is the category dragging Promptchan's number down. Read it across and the 0.8-point gap stops being mysterious. Promptchan wins Image Generation by 2 full points, the biggest single swing on the page, and that plus a 1.5-point Pricing edge are the two heaviest-weighted categories on our scoring, so they pull hard. How much do Promptchan and eHentai cost?

Both give you a free trial then a paid funnel, but the funnels behave completely differently once tokens and cancellation enter the picture.

Here's where the dollar-for-dollar math actually lands. At the entry tier eHentai's $12.99 intro looks a hair cheaper than Promptchan Plus at $11.99, then per-action cost flips it. A Promptchan Plus user gets roughly 100 to 300 anime images a month inside the gem allotment; an eHentai paid user gets about 10 images inside the 100-token allowance before buying top-ups. Run one image a day plus the odd anime video clip and a Promptchan user is at $15 to $30 a month all-in, an eHentai user at $30 to $50 because the top-ups stack. • The chat is thin, anime mode included. Anime mode didn't fix the main product's chat. The persona keeps the archetype label but the replies are short and it drifts inside a session. That's a dark pattern, plain and simple, because cancelling is what a reasonable person assumes is enough. The five Promptchan wins are prompt adherence, multi-character scenes, anime video, low real monthly cost, and clean exit. Most people reading this land cleanly in one camp. If you genuinely want all of it, prompt adherence and a big catalog and deep chat and mainstream-safe compliance, neither of these is your answer. What do real anime users say?

Honestly, the Reddit trail on both is quieter than I'd like.
