Why it ranks sixth despite winning on cost: BongaCams is the cheapest token economy in our six-cam test at both entry and bulk, and the only platform pairing the cheapest bulk rate with an on-account welcome credit, yet it posts the lowest all-category composite of the six, which is why it sits last on the scoreboard even though it tops the cost column. Operator Proweb Progressive Development Ltd is Cyprus-registered (HE 381075). The structural reason the rate runs cheaper than Chaturbate is CIS-market positioning. 31.6% of BongaCams traffic combines Ukraine, Russia, Czech Republic, and Poland (Similarweb March 2026), and the pricing card optimizes for first-time tippers in lower-purchasing-power markets. Honest exclusions: why two cam platforms were left off

This page covers six platforms with published or transparent token / Gold / credit economies. Two otherwise-credible cam destinations approved on our account were excluded because their economics did not fit the per-token comparison cleanly.

Why we left out IMLive

IMLive is one of the longer-running cam platforms (launched 2002) and is approved on our affiliate account. It was excluded because the free public chat surface is registration-gated, the token economy is buried behind a sign-up wall, and the per-minute private-show pricing is the load-bearing economic surface rather than a transparent token pack tier. Reading the per-token rate requires a card-on-file step that defeats the cost-comparison purpose of this page. The right pivot for first-time tippers is BongaCams, which gives 10 free tokens on email verification with no card capture; for comparison shoppers, Chaturbate, which exposes its full token pricing card without any account.

Why we left out Cam4

Cam4 sits comfortably in our broader cam coverage and on our free cam sites ranking. It was excluded from this per-token page because the token economy runs structurally more expensive than the other freemium platforms ($0.20 per token at the 50-pack entry, scaling to roughly $0.15 per token in the 300-1,050 range) and because the 180-day token-expiration policy is a hidden cost the other platforms here don't impose. A reader who buys 1,050 tokens on Cam4 and uses only 800 within six months forfeits the remaining 250-token balance; the same purchase on Chaturbate, BongaCams, or Stripchat carries no expiration. How we test cam-site token economies

We checked the pricing pages by hand: pricing UI captured up to but never past payment submission, never charging a card. Post-purchase behavior (billing descriptor, refund friction, auto-renewal triggers) was flagged from aggregated user reports rather than independently verified by us, because that would require actually charging the cards and we don't think editorial integrity survives that.
