Both apps run yearly-discount deals, but the structures differ enough to matter the moment you sign up, and the chips and Moments economies pile real costs on top of the subscription depending on how heavily you use it.

The catch is how fast they go: reviewers report 600 chips gone in roughly 6 hours of video-heavy testing, which means a heavy image or video user is in the top-up loop within the first week of a paid month. Buy Lovescape Premium yearly, run three videos a week plus a 30-minute voice call each session, and you're at roughly 8,400 chips a month, way past the 600 included, so you're buying a top-up pack. Compliance is the second-widest gap on this page (3.5 points toward Secrets) after Memory, and the consequences land on your side, not theirs.

Lovescape. Warmtech Ltd (Cyprus, registry HE 418620, incorporated February 24, 2021, registered Limassol) is the operating company, and you can confirm it on the Cyprus Companies Registry in about 30 seconds. The Lovescape brand holds an active USPTO trademark (Serial 99386961) covering AI companionship software. Russia is geo-blocked at the robots.txt level [Source: Lovescape robots.txt; RU disallow + LLM-crawler allowlist (GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot) · verified 2026-05-20], the cleanest sanctions and payment-processor signal we found on the platform. The policy depth, though, is thin. The Privacy and Terms pages are SPA-rendered and not directly readable by non-browser fetchers, the Data Protection Officer isn't named anywhere you can pull it, the EU representative isn't spelled out, retention windows aren't disclosed, chats sit on Warmtech's servers without end-to-end encryption per multiple reviewers, and the third-party privacy-transparency score lands at 2.2/5, the lowest of the 9 AI girlfriend apps we test. Compliance earns 5.5/10, strong on registry checks and sanctions discipline, weak on policy paperwork and what a crawler can actually read. The marketing "11 languages supported" claim isn't backed by the sitemap's hreflang (only 6 confirmed: EN, DE, FR, IT, ES, JA) [Source: Lovescape Terms of Service · verified 2026-05-20], so it's loose at best.

Secrets.ai. The operating-company claim (Secret Labs Inc., Dover, Delaware) sits at medium-high confidence on multiple converging sources: several reviewers, a Crunchbase listing [Source: Crunchbase organization listing for Secrets.ai · verified 2026-05-20], and the "S Labs Inc" truncation on the bank descriptor, with the direct Delaware Secretary of State registry check still pending. The 16-policy library is the broadest we've seen and includes a surprisingly thorough AML anti-fraud policy, a sex-trafficking policy, a pre-post-screening policy, and a 2257 exemption claim filed at its own dedicated page. That exemption argues USC 2257 record-keeping doesn't apply because all the content is AI-generated, a clever legal theory but untested in US federal courts as of this writing. Compliance earns 8.0/10, strong on policy depth, a little behind on direct registry confirmation. The Trustpilot signal is mixed-positive: roughly 49+ reviews averaging 4 stars, with verified business responses to refund complaints.

If you're in the UK: both apps work in the United Kingdom as of May 2026, neither blocks UK traffic. But neither names an explicit UK Representative for post-Brexit GDPR in its policy library. Secrets.ai's deeper paperwork implies the coverage without naming the Rep, and Lovescape's SPA-rendered policies make the UK posture harder to confirm at all. If you're in Russia: Lovescape is geo-blocked at the robots.txt level (Disallow: /ru/*), and there's no way around it inside the platform. Russian-speaking readers who came for Lovescape's voice or its Transwoman option will need a different app.

If you're in a US age-verification state: Texas (HB 1181), Utah, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Montana, Arkansas, Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, Idaho and Oklahoma all gate adult content behind government-ID checks. Neither app spells out how it handles state-by-state AV. Secrets.ai's broader policy library implies coverage, Lovescape's SPA-rendered library leaves it opaque. • Conversation depth drags. Five-plus reviewers land on rushed uncensored progression ("rushes through scenarios; skips foreplay buildup"), and a 21-day test caught vocabulary loops past 20-minute sessions. The roleplay engine is really an image-and-voice flagship with a chat layer bolted on, so we scored Conversation Quality 6.0/10 honestly instead of padding it.
• Privacy transparency 2.2/5, the lowest of the 9 AI girlfriend apps we test. The Privacy and Terms pages are SPA-rendered and opaque to crawlers, chats sit server-side without end-to-end encryption per multiple reviewers, and retention windows aren't documented anywhere you can pull them. • Web-only, no native mobile app. The site is mobile-responsive and takes Apple Pay, but there's no iOS or Android app published by Secret Labs Inc. as of May 2026, and App Store plus Google Play searches return zero Secret Labs Inc. apps. If you need native push notifications or offline draft composition, Secrets.ai won't give you that.
• Brand confusion against secretai.io. The Secret AI apps in the App Store and Google Play (secretai.io, by Secret AI L.L.C.) are an unrelated on-device chat product, different company, different product, different privacy setup. Reviewers keep mixing them up. That "100% offline / local encryption" privacy claim belongs to secretai.io and can't apply to Secrets.ai, which is a server-rendered web product.
