AI Angels Review 2026: 5.5/10, $3.99 a Month, One Red Flag
AI Angels review 2026: 5.5/10. Free with no card, $3.99 a month on the six-month plan, and one red flag: a directory it counts at 6,061 real, named people.
A note from the editor: bestgirlfriend.ai is paid a commission when a reader who arrives through this page buys a plan or credits. AI Angels' public affiliate page puts that at 50 percent of the sale, and none of the eight scores below was moved by it. My AI Angels account ran on test access the brand supplied, for one hands-on try and not weeks of use, and the scores are built on AI Angels' pages and on what other reviewers have published. The rest is in our affiliate disclosure.

Is AI Angels worth it?
AI Angels is worth a look if price is what matters most to you, because six months cost $23.94 and the free tier needs no card. bestgirlfriend.ai scores AI Angels 5.5 out of 10. AI Angels' privacy and compliance scores 2.5, the lowest of its eight categories, mainly because of a directory of real, named people.
Reviewers who've used AI Angels split on the chat: three of the ten scored reviews praise the chat or the memory, two other reviews find it uneven or predictable over time, and one of those scores the conversation 7.5 out of 10. I give it 6.0. The longer job in this AI Angels review was the price, because AI Angels says different things about it depending on the page.
The homepage offers Premium at $10.39 a month, crossed out from $12.99. The pricing page says $12.99 with no discount. A page written for investors says the product starts at $7.99 a month billed annually [Source: AI Angels investor page], a plan the pricing page didn't show me. Then I found the small data file AI Angels publishes for machines, the one a chatbot would read. It lists three plans, and when I first read it, it also carried a promo code that explains the $10.39: that's the monthly price with a 20 percent code already applied.
I read that as a young site moving fast and not cleaning up behind itself. The whole product is like that, and it's why I'd rather show you the numbers side by side than repeat any single page.
What is AI Angels, and who runs it?
AI Angels, also written AIAngels and found at aiangels.io, is an adult AI companion platform that runs in a web browser and through Telegram. AI Angels is operated by AiAppDevelopment OÜ, a company at Tornimäe tn 7 in Tallinn, Estonia, under Estonian law. AI Angels names no founder or team on its current site.
AiAppDevelopment OÜ shows up in the terms, the privacy policy, the compliance statement and the homepage footer, always with the same Tallinn address [Source: AI Angels Terms and Conditions, company information and governing law]. Card billing for the monthly and multi-month plans runs through an established adult payment processor, the plan data names a second card provider for the Diamond package and the yearly plans, and there's a crypto option at checkout.
The dates don't line up neatly, and you should know it. The domain dates from mid-2025, and the terms that name the Estonian company give an effective date in March 2026. Estonia's business register lists that company as registered in September 2026. Either the legal pages were rewritten without changing their date, or someone else ran the site before. No earlier operator is named on any page I read.
When the domain first went live it wasn't a companion app at all. It was a tap-to-earn game on Telegram. The companion product is a pivot, and the investor page says it's bootstrapped and counts roughly 40,000 registered users. Those are AI Angels' own figures and nobody has audited them.
How much does AI Angels cost?
AI Angels costs $12.99 a month, $17.97 for three months or $23.94 for six months, which works out at $3.99 a month. AI Angels renews the six-month plan at $23.94 every six months. Photos, voice notes and videos on AI Angels cost credits on top of the plan.
These are the prices on AI Angels' pricing page, checked against the data file the site publishes alongside it [Source: AI Angels pricing page].
| Plan | Charged | Works out at | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | $12.99 | $12.99/mo | Renews monthly, comes with 1,000 or 1,500 credits depending on the version of the page |
| 3 months | $17.97 | $5.99/mo | Renews every 3 months |
| 6 months | $23.94 | $3.99/mo | Labelled a launch offer, with 4,000 extra credits. Renews at $23.94 |
| Diamond package | $99.99 once | $8.33/mo over 12 months | 12 months of Premium and 18,000 credits, no auto-renewal |
Look at the first three rows again. Three months cost $4.98 more than one month. Six months cost $5.97 more than three. If you're going to pay at all, the monthly plan makes no sense, and the six-month plan is where AI Angels wants you. It's tagged as a launch offer with a countdown beside it (and no end date published).
Then come the credits, and they're the real meter. A photo costs 50, a voice note 25, a video 200. Packs run from $9.99 for 1,000 credits to $49.99 for 6,300, and AI Angels says pack credits never expire. At the smallest pack's rate that's about 50 cents a photo and $2 a video. Text chat on Premium is sold as unlimited on the pricing page. AI Angels' about page and its promo-code page both say paid plans allow up to 300 messages a day, and its pricing data applies that ceiling to Telegram while leaving the main web chat uncapped.
| Item | Credits | Works out at |
|---|---|---|
| Photo | 50 | about $0.50 |
| Voice note | 25 | about $0.25 |
| Voice call | 50 a minute | about $0.50 a minute |
| Video | 200 | about $2.00 |
Several other reviews quote $7.99 a month on an annual plan, and AI Angels' investor page says the same. The pricing page I was served showed no annual plan. The plan list that page loads still carries one, though: a plan called Private at $7.99 a month billed yearly, beside a bigger one called All Yours at $39.99 a month, or $19.99 a month on the yearly term. AI Angels' FAQ names Private and All Yours as its paid plans. AI Angels also serves its pricing page in more than one version, and one of them shows All Yours and no six-month plan at all, so the grid you're shown may not be the one in my table. Check the checkout and trust it over everything else, this page included.
Is AI Angels free?
AI Angels has a free tier that needs no credit card. AI Angels' published pricing data sets it at 10 messages a day for guests and 30 a day with a free account. Another AI Angels page describes a free account with no daily cap that spends 1 credit per message.
Ok so, which is it? AI Angels' own pages disagree, and I'm not going to pick the version I like best. The pricing data file says 10 messages a day signed out, counted across all companions, and 30 with a free account, reset at midnight UTC. A landing page on the same site says a free account has no daily cap and pays 1 credit per message, with 100 credits at signup and 15 more to claim each day. Run the second version through a calculator and you get 15 paid-for messages a day once the welcome credits are gone, plus whatever you send to characters carrying a FREE badge, which AI Angels says cost no credits. So the second version can be tighter or looser than the first, depending on which characters you talk to.
Either way the shape is the same. You can talk for free, a little, every day. Memory works on the free tier too, according to AI Angels. Photos, voice and video need credits. The other free tiers are on our list of free AI girlfriend apps.

Can you cancel AI Angels and get a refund?
AI Angels' terms let you cancel at any time, with access until the paid period ends. AI Angels only considers a refund requested within 24 hours of payment, and refuses it once credits have been used. AI Angels' terms give European Union and United Kingdom buyers a 14-day withdrawal right, which may be lost once the service is used.
The terms say you may cancel "at any time" and stop there. The path is on AI Angels' FAQ page instead:
- Open Account.
- Go to Subscription.
- Choose Cancel subscription.
Screenshot whatever confirmation you get. The cheapest plan renews twice a year, long after you've forgotten the date.
Refunds are tighter than the word suggests. The request has to arrive within 24 hours of payment. It's refused if any credits, tokens or subscription benefits were used (on a chat app, that's the moment you say hello). Refunds only apply to subscriptions bought by card, so credit packs and crypto payments fall outside. A purchase made by mistake isn't guaranteed either. Two of the ten scored reviews also report that the account shows no transaction history, so a credit charge is hard to trace.
If you live in the EU or the UK, the 14 days the law gives you are written into the terms, with a catch: the same clause says the right "may be lost" once credits, tokens or the subscription have been used. Ask in writing before you use anything, and keep the email.
Is AI Angels safe to use?
AI Angels is hard to recommend on trust, and bestgirlfriend.ai scores AI Angels' privacy and compliance 2.5 out of 10. AI Angels checks age with a click, says staff can possibly read chats, and publishes a directory of real, named people whose profiles each offer an AI companion matched, in AI Angels' words, to her look.
An age check that is a click
The front door is two buttons: one says you're 18 or older, the other says you aren't. Signed-in users are also asked for a date of birth. AI Angels' safety page is blunt about what that amounts to: "Neither step is an ID or document check" [Source: AI Angels safety page]. It adds that the gate only appears on the homepage, so a guest who lands directly on a chat page never sees it.
I'll say this for AI Angels: that safety page is unusually candid. It's also describing an explicit site with no real age barrier, while another page on the same domain calls the check "a real gate".
Who can read your chats
Staff possibly can, and AI Angels' safety page says so with the same candour: "Can anyone at AI Angels read my chats? Possibly." Chats are moderated by automated tools, with human review of flagged content. Photos you request in a chat with a catalogue character can end up on that character's public profile. Two of the ten scored reviews also report that AI Angels keeps chat photos and voice notes at unindexed links that open without a login for anyone who has them. Deleting a chat removes the messages and leaves the facts the character saved about you, until you delete the account.
Now the part that annoyed me. An article on AI Angels' blog tells readers that end-to-end encryption stops anyone, staff included, from reading chats. The safety page says staff possibly can. Believe the safety page. The privacy policy itself names no retention period and no data protection officer. The questions worth asking any companion app before you hand it your chats are in our guide to AI companion safety.
On the positive side: AI Angels says it accepts no photo uploads, runs no face swap, and has no undressing tool. Its compliance statement is less absolute, calling image upload in chat "disabled by default", so treat the no-upload line as AI Angels' word. AI Angels also publishes a crisis protocol. If a message on the website mentions self-harm, the companion shows a helpline card, keeps that reply free of sexual content and photos, and doesn't message first for seven days [Source: AI Angels crisis protocol].
The directory of real people
AI Angels' directory of real people is the main reason its privacy score sits at 2.5. AI Angels publishes a directory it files under pornstars and counts at 6,061 people "and counting", profiled, it says, with ages, real names and current status. Not all of them are adult performers: one profile I read says in its own FAQ that the woman it profiles is a mainstream actress. Each profile, in AI Angels' words, offers "an AI companion matched to her look and vibe". The directory page says these people aren't affiliated with AI Angels. The word consent doesn't appear on it.
AI Angels' compliance statement says every image on the site is computer-generated and "is not derived from" any real human being, and that characters are "not intended to represent any real person, living or dead" [Source: AI Angels 18 U.S.C. 2257 compliance statement]. An AI companion offered as matched to a named person's look is hard to square with that sentence. On the two profiles I read, the companion is an existing catalogue character that AI Angels calls the closest to her style, and the page says its characters aren't affiliated with, endorsed by, or modelled on her.
I found no page describing a tool that edits a real person's photo. AI Angels says the companions are generated, and its compliance statement gives a contact route to anyone who believes content depicts a real person. The directory is ordered, AI Angels says, by search demand. It puts thousands of real people's names in front of those searches, then offers each visitor an AI companion it calls matched to that person's look. No page I read says any of them was asked, and the profiles themselves say AI Angels isn't endorsed by the person profiled. I'm not linking to the directory, and I don't think you should need it to enjoy the product.
AI Angels' terms ban one family theme by name. AI Angels' own landing pages sell roleplay with a character cast as a parent by marriage, which sits next to that theme without being named in the ban, and say no automated filter will interrupt it.
What does AI Angels do?
AI Angels offers text chat with AI companions, photos generated inside the chat, voice notes and calls, and a memory that keeps the last 50 messages in context and up to 500 saved facts per character. AI Angels runs in a browser and through Telegram. Published tests of AI Angels disagree on the chat and rate video the weakest part.
Memory is the best-documented feature, and credit where it's due, AI Angels spells out how it works. Fifty messages of live context, up to 500 facts per character, on free and paid accounts alike [Source: AI Angels memory feature page]. There's no screen to view or edit what she's saved. The page says so itself, and adds that she "can misremember or mix up details". Honest. Also a little unnerving, if you think about what 500 facts might include.
The catalogue is harder to pin down. One page says 70+ companions. Another says 400+. A third counts 738 categories, which are pages and not people. Either number is plenty for an evening.
Photos are made on request inside the chat at 50 credits each. Three of the ten scored reviews say the requests follow a preset menu, and two of them report that typing a request of your own still costs the 50 credits and brings back a stock shot. Voice notes cost 25. The pricing page lists voice calls among the benefits of every paid plan, and AI Angels' FAQ prices them at 50 credits a minute with no free call time, about 50 cents a minute at the smallest pack's rate. Calls and voice notes only work with characters marked by a phone icon. Video costs 200 credits and, by AI Angels' FAQ, new videos are generated in the character creator, while some characters send ready-made clips in chat. The outside reviewers who tried it rate it the weakest part of the product, and three of the ten found in-chat video still marked as coming soon.
Outside reviews list images and voice among what a paid plan adds, but AI Angels' FAQ says a paid plan pays for photos, voice notes and calls from its credits, the same as a free account does. The AI Angels builder gets mixed notices. One review scores it 8.5 out of 10. Two of the ten scored reviews say it shapes a look and not a personality, and that the studio's images and clips come from a library prepared in advance rather than made to your settings. A third found its results didn't look customised.
There's no native app. AI Angels describes itself as a web-based app, and puts mobile apps on a roadmap it calls "not a commitment". The interface is in English.
What do other AI Angels reviews say?
AI Angels lists ten sites that publish a score for it, and converted to a ten-point scale those scores run from 5.2 to 9.0 at the source and average 7.6. bestgirlfriend.ai scores AI Angels 5.5. Other AI Angels reviews praise the price and the free tier, and none of the ten weighs the real-performer directory.
AI Angels lists ten outside reviews on its own reviews page, with their scores, and reports their average as 3.9 out of 5 [Source: AI Angels reviews page]. I opened all ten at the source. Three show a different score than the one AI Angels displays. One is higher at the source, one is lower, and one shows 3 out of 5 on the page where AI Angels quotes a 3.82 reader-vote figure that sits in that page's hidden data. Read at the source, with five-point scales doubled, the ten run from 5.2 to 9.0 and average 7.6. The two newest on the list are the thinnest: one is a ranking an AI Angels affiliate partner built from public profile data, which says it didn't test the chat, and the other is a directory score from a site that sells its top spots.
Most of the ten send you to AI Angels through a tracked or sponsored link. Ours does too, and the programme pays 50 percent of the sale [Source: AI Angels affiliate programme page]. I keep repeating that across these reviews because it's worth knowing about this corner of the internet: a lot of what you read about an AI girlfriend app was written by someone who gets paid when you buy.
One of the ten scored reviews says its number is calculated automatically from platform data. And the user reviews AI Angels shows on its own page, 4.8 out of 5 from 13 people, were collected on a public review platform whose AI Angels profile has since been removed.
Several of them say the free tier is real, the entry price is low and video is the weakest part, and I'd sign that. What they leave out is the directory. It explains part of the gap between their 7.6 and our 5.5, not all of it: with privacy scored at their 7.6, our total would be about 6.2. The rest comes from the seven other categories, which I scored between 4.5 and 7.0 because credits sit on top of every plan, video is the weak spot and the prices change from page to page.
Who should sign up for AI Angels, and who shouldn't?
Sign up for AI Angels if you want a low-cost AI companion and you start on the free tier with no card. Skip AI Angels if privacy or the use of real people's names matters to you, because AI Angels' age check is a click and bestgirlfriend.ai scores its privacy and compliance 2.5 out of 10.
AI Angels suits someone who wants a cheap, customisable companion, is happy to start free and treats credits as a separate budget. That's the reader I'd point to the six-month plan.
Start free. There's no card to enter and you'll learn the real message limit in a day, which beats trusting either of AI Angels' two versions. If you pay, take the six-month plan, because the monthly one costs more than half as much for a sixth of the time. Then put the renewal date in your calendar. AI Angels' FAQ puts the cancel option under Account, then Subscription.
Treat credits as their own budget. A chatty week with a few photos a day goes through a 1,000-credit pack fast.
And don't tell her anything you wouldn't want a moderator to read. That's good advice on every app I cover. Here the company wrote it down for you.
| App | Score | Pick it for |
|---|---|---|
| Candy.ai | 8.4 | The same $3.99 a month entry price, on a yearly plan |
| OurDream | 8.2 | Long-running memory |
| DarLink AI | 7.0 | A named data protection officer |
If the directory is a dealbreaker, read two other reviews first. OurDream scores 8.2 and is my pick for long-running memory, and DarLink AI names a data protection officer, which AI Angels doesn't.
Same price, fewer question marks? Candy.ai starts at $3.99 a month on its yearly plan and tops our ranking.
Final scorecard
How this score was built. Every figure about AI Angels on this page comes from pages AI Angels serves to a visitor with no login, from its legal documents and its published pricing data, from Estonia's public business register, from the domain's public registration record, an archived copy of its first homepage and the review platform's own page, from the ten scored reviews AI Angels lists, and from three other published reviews of AI Angels. The scores of the three alternatives are bestgirlfriend.ai's own. Chat, pictures, voice and video are scored on what other testers of AI Angels report, and almost every one of those tests sends readers to AI Angels through a tracked link, so none of the four climbs above 6.0. Customization rests on AI Angels' list of builder settings, and the reviewers who used the builder disagree on what it shapes. Pricing, billing, refunds, privacy and content keep their full weight, since AI Angels' own pages establish them.
The verdict in one line: AI Angels is a cheap companion app, unusually candid on its safety page, that puts thousands of real people's names next to its AI characters.

Frequently asked questions
How much does AI Angels cost?
AI Angels costs $12.99 a month, $17.97 for three months or $23.94 for six months on the pricing page bestgirlfriend.ai was served. The six-month plan works out at $3.99 a month and renews at $23.94 every six months. The plan data behind AI Angels' pricing page also lists a yearly plan at $7.99 a month and a larger All Yours tier at $39.99 a month, and AI Angels' FAQ names Private and All Yours as its paid plans. AI Angels also sells a one-time Diamond package at $99.99, with 12 months of Premium and 18,000 credits. Photos cost 50 credits, voice notes 25 and videos 200, and credit packs start at $9.99 for 1,000 credits.
Is AI Angels free?
AI Angels has a free tier with no credit card, and AI Angels describes its limit two different ways. The pricing data AI Angels publishes says 30 messages a day with a free account. Another AI Angels page says a free account has no daily cap and pays 1 credit per message, from 100 starting credits and 15 more each day. Guests get 10 messages a day in both versions. Photos, voice notes and videos cost credits on any plan.
Is there an AI Angels promo code?
AI Angels runs a promo-code page of its own, and its codes come and go. The $10.39 a month on AI Angels' homepage is the one-month plan with 20 percent off, the discount a code in AI Angels' pricing data carried when bestgirlfriend.ai first read it. Even at $10.39, AI Angels' monthly plan costs more than twice the six-month plan's $3.99 a month.
Is AI Angels safe and legit?
AI Angels' safeguards are weak, even with a named operator behind it. AiAppDevelopment OÜ, a company in Tallinn, Estonia, operates AI Angels and takes card payments through adult billing processors. AI Angels says it accepts no photo uploads and offers no face swap. The concerns are elsewhere: AI Angels' age check is self-declared, its own safety page says staff can possibly read chats, and the site runs a directory it counts at 6,061 real, named people, with an AI companion offered on each profile.
Can I cancel AI Angels and get a refund?
AI Angels' FAQ puts cancellation under Account, then Subscription, then Cancel subscription, and access runs until the end of the paid period. A refund from AI Angels needs a request within 24 hours of payment. AI Angels refuses it once credits or subscription benefits have been used, and only processes refunds for subscriptions paid by card. AI Angels' terms give buyers in the European Union and the United Kingdom a 14-day right of withdrawal, which the terms say may be lost once the service is used.
Does AI Angels have an app?
AI Angels has no native app on the App Store or Google Play. AI Angels runs in a web browser and through Telegram, and describes itself as a web-based app. AI Angels lists mobile apps on a roadmap that it describes as directional and not a commitment.
Is AI Angels uncensored?
Largely, yes. AI Angels sells explicit roleplay, and AI Angels' own landing pages say no automated filter will interrupt some of it. AI Angels' terms still ban certain themes by name, and AI Angels' safety page says chats are moderated with automated tools and human review of flagged content. AI Angels' crisis protocol says a message on the website that mentions self-harm makes the companion show a helpline card and keep that reply free of sexual content.
What are the best AI Angels alternatives?
Candy.ai is the first alternative to AI Angels to read, because it matches the $3.99 a month entry price on a yearly plan and leads bestgirlfriend.ai's ranked list at 8.4 out of 10. OurDream scores 8.2 and is the pick for long-running memory. DarLink AI scores 7.0 and names a data protection officer, which AI Angels doesn't.
